Job Overview

As a Marketing and Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in implementing marketing activities aimed at attracting new clients, retaining existing ones, and enhancing the firm's market presence on Chinese market. You will also actively support the legal team by assisting with a variety of legal matters, including immigration, conveyancing, and other areas as required.

Your responsibilities primary will include maintaining client records, managing appointments, preparing and reviewing legal documents, conducting basic legal research, and ensuring compliance with firm policies and legal standards. You will provide valuable administrative and legal support to our solicitors. This role offers a pathway for career growth, preparing you to advance to a Paralegal position and help the business grow in the Chinese market upon successfully completing the probation period.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in marketing and legal work, preferably within the legal (Immigration or conveyancing)or professional services sector.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development, including self-learning and research outside of working hours to enhance expertise and job performance.

  • Fluency in English and Chinese, with strong communication skills in both languages, particularly over the phone, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Passion for sales and a keen interest in helping clients achieve outcomes they may not have thought possible.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenges independently.

  • Creative thinking, self-motivation, and a willingness to take on a broad range of tasks.

  • Confident and professional demeanor, approachable with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.

  • Willingness to assist the team and take on tasks that may fall outside the defined role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Basic understanding of legal terminology, particularly in immigration and conveyancing.

  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility when handling confidential information.

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and solicitors.

  • Candidates living in proximity to Canary Wharf are strongly preferable

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephone calls, taking messages, and ensuring client inquiries are addressed and their needs are met.

  • Liaising between solicitors, caseworkers, and clients to follow up on case progress, document requests, and inquiries while providing excellent customer service.

  • Managing client files, including opening and closing files in compliance with firm procedures.

  • Preparing and filing legal forms and applications with relevant government agencies, such as the Home Office, Land Registry, and HMRC.

  • Examining and organising legal documents, contracts, and evidence for cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Providing daily administrative support to the team.

  • Creating engaging social media content (both written and video) for the firm's marketing activities and initiative to get in potential leads for the firm

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to attract individual customers, groups, and corporate clients.

  • Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and understand client needs.

  • Ensuring compliance with legal marketing standards and firm policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting from £21,000.00 to £2,6000 (Depending on experience)

Probation time: 6 Months

 Additional Compensation: Bonus scheme, Commission pay, Performance bonus, Yearly bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday
